something's got a hold on me

thank you everyone who left me kind words on this post. i really appreciated it. i'm still trying to keep my head afloat. but i've kind of lost interest in wanting to do any "book learnin'" right now. my life feels kind of in disarray, and i've got to figure out how to put it together in a way that makes sense.

i've been racking my mind trying to figure out a way to wear these boots other than with jeans. i don't mind this look. i kind of felt like i was getting ready to stomp through a forest, or maybe run through a prairie, like laura ingalls wilder. probably has something to do with the print of this dress.

i've been reading a lot lately. i recently finished this is where i leave you  and dogrun. and i'm halfway through how we are hungry. the next two books that are on my list are bossypants and the fault in our stars.  read anything good lately?

details:

  3. I think big boots look great with a pretty dress! Reminds me of Amelie.
I want to read Bossypants too! At the moment I'm rereading The Magus, I have a terrible memory so I don't even remember what happens even though I'm pretty sure there's a big twist ;)

  6. The boots look great with the dress! I'm glad you tried it out. :) I'm still trying to get back into the swing of reading, as I mentioned on LJ so I haven't really read anything lately at all.

  7. If my boots look silly with jeans, I just cuff my jeans a little (so long as they are not flare-y jeans) so people can see more boot detail. Throw in a bomber jacket with a lace-y top and et' voila! Instant lady Fonzie!
Er...that's just a suggestion anyway. You look sweet as ever!

  9. I loove the boots w/ that dress- I think it looks perfect together (although I must admit to being a bit anti-jeans in my own personal wardrobe). You look beautiful in that adorable dress too!
