good fortune

my "spring break" was so short lived. i barely had time to do practical things, like an eye appointment and car stuff. that i only saw my grandma for a short lunch. i used to live with her for three years. so now it's weird just coming and going and not really seeing one another. 

i'm really anxious and excited about moving. i feel like i'm in this weird limbo state. i haven't been able to put any effort into my diet, even though i'm back at the gym. i can't concentrate in school. i just want to start fresh there. hopefully everything works out the way i want it to and i can stay there for the duration of my schooling here. i've been thinking about graduate programs and it's so nerve wracking!

well, it is back to school, and back to work. i'm moving this weekend, so i'm just waiting in anticipation for that. but i'm also ready to try to be on top of my schoolwork, and stay focused. it's the home stretch now! just about 8 more weeks! and then i'm free for the summer!  hopefully summer means i'm still working, but with loads more free time to be lazy.

can you see the rain??

it's been pretty dreary up here in northern california. you think this would make one want to stay inside and be lazy. i haven't had much of an opportunity to do so. my last post i said THINGS WERE HAPPENING. well, they are and have. 

1. i went on spring break, i just got back last night from a few days at my parents house. i haven't been there since january. it wasn't nearly long enough.

2. I GOT A JOB. i work at a garden nursery (plants and stuff) as a cashier. it's nothing fancy, but it'll help pay the bills. 

3. and i'm moving! this saturday in fact. i've been looking for a new place to live due to some mishaps. (awkward roommates, new roommate, cats peeing and pooping in the bathroom GROSS GROSS GROSS, and my roommate might have ruined this dress by throwing it in the dryer, i haven't tried it on, i'm too afraid to). pictures to come soon! 

i'm just really excited that things seem to be coming together. soon enough i'll get a better grip on my new schedule, get some etsy things up and going.

today was a day. i thought i lost both my wireless remotes for my camera (i take all my own photos, so this makes it much much easier for me), but i lit'rally, just found it. under my pillow. wireless remote fairy. i still placed an order for another one (the off brands are SO CHEAP, seriously $4), JUST IN CASE. i'm going to find some way to put one in my camera strap, maybe make it a little pocket. 

i've been anxiously awaiting this weekend since last week. i've got some possible news on the horizon, because things are happening! (multiple job interviews, GIVEAWAYS) 

so i tried to take these photos by focusing on an object, removing said object, then taking a photo. worked like a charm. a very. very. slow charm. i gave up after taking 5 photos. then was late for class. 

i also attempted to use hot rollers to curl my hair. they held pretty well, but it's going to take some practice. i remember using them in junior high before the dances where i'd anxiously await a boy to ask me to slow dance to *nsync or brian mcknight.

i often take photos of myself on my phone, along with usually just photos of pistachio and food. but here are some outfits that you never saw, and some you will see again soon. 

along with my face in outfits.

these photos remind me of how lazy i am when it comes to taking actual photos of myself. and how many times i've misplaced my remote for my camera. 

school has been keeping me super busy these last couple weeks. i honestly can't wait for spring break and doing nothing at my parents house. i hope everyone is doing well!
