neutral territory

hello! my name is bethany. you might have forgotten that since it's been a while since you've seen my face. but i'm still here. around. school has been keeping me more than busy lately (i haven't even had time to paint my nails). that, along with redoing my shop, and getting prepared to do handborn again this year. (for those newcomers, handborn is a handmade craft fair i've done the last two years). there will be a post about my handmade stuff this week! i've been working up the nerve to talk about it without feeling like i'm selling. i don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable with shop talk, but it's important to me.

in terms of my outfit. i didn't do anything special in this. i'm going to stay in, catch up on recent television and sew my face off. but! this outfit i do believe cost me less than $10 total. everything was thrifted, minus the tights, which were a gift. which is a first for this blog! i've been really drawn to neutrals lately. navy, gray, khaki, olive and black. my closet is kind of a hodgepodge of brights and neutrals. i've been trying to thrift more to find new pieces. but i haven't found the perfect stores here yet.

details:
cardigan: thrifted
shirt: thrifted
wrap skirt: thrifted
tights: kohls, gift
shoes: thrifted
hedgehog brooch: handmade by me

  3. Love it! Perfection. I love neutrals. I've been trying to wear more colour, but maybe I should just give up and stick to the colours that I know and love.

I'm going to try and do some sewing now that I finally have some free time :)
