i've been finding it hard to mix up my clothes and find things to wear to work/make it look like i have more clothes than i do. so this is one of my 'work' outfits. it's not very professional, and i know this. i just don't think my 'work' clothes should have to be so different from my regular clothes. so i pulled out a nice skirt, and paired it with some clearance items. i only have a couple really nice things, everything else is on average between $10 and $40 dollars.
regardless, this is what i wore to work and then vote.
outfit details:
shirt: rodarte for target
skirt: scalloped clouds skirt from anthropologie
tights: target
shoes: ha ha walmart
tote: 826 Valencia/McSweeny's San Francisco store (it's pirate themed, arg)
necklace: thrifted
here i am looking all herpy derpy
i also, don't take a lot seriously.
You look lovely. You just can't go wrong with scalloping :D
ReplyDeleteI don't have any work clothes, I get to work dressed as myself too :)
You look perfectly smart - I don't know why so many people think it 's only respectable if it looks like a funeral.
Happy weekend!
adorable skirt- i dont remember it from the rodarte collection, and i'm sad i missed it!
ReplyDeleteThat scalloped skirt is brilliant! I wish we had Target in Manila (ironic since I think in the US people bewail it's ubiquitousness) so I could buy! I also really like how you mixed tights with penny loafers. I'm going to try that out soon.
