Normally I wouldn't do a band I don't know very well, but after seeing Pavement at Coachella, and not knowing any of their music, I was impressed to say the least. I'm listening to them now, and for a day like today (with it's weather somewhere between gray and storm brewing) Pavement sounds like a good idea.

they're originally from stockton, california! which surprised me. and for a band that's been around since the 1990's making delicious lo-fi music, they were only a cult favorite. they disbanded in 1999 and reunited for their first performance in 10 years in march of 2010.
they've also confirmed they're playing in stockton in june, and it's their first ever hometown show. i plan on attending. (hopefully)
